By applying managed-care techniques to workers’ compensation losses, AmeriHealth Casualty Services addresses the costs, frequency, and appropriateness of care. We work with you and your employees to find the earliest, medically appropriate return-to-work date for your injured workers.

Our Case Managers will:

• Review hospital admissions immediately upon assignment, and all other files within 48 hours (7 days a week)
• Review the injury sustained and verify diagnosis and treatment plan with the treating physician
• Discuss any work restrictions or limitations with the treating physician
• Maintain contact with the injured worker throughout the course of the claim
• Provide ongoing medical and work status updates to the employer
• Coordinate activities with the adjuster assigned to the file
• Refer cases to a medical specialist for independent medical evaluation and, if necessary, a second surgical opinion
