Underwriting

Our underwriting approach is simple. We provide a workers' compensation solution that works. We have in-house underwriters supported by production underwriters in the field. Our underwriting staff is dedicated to analyzing and pricing our product to suit the needs of prospective customers. We pride ourselves in our ability to respond to customer requests in an effective and thorough analysis in a reasonable timeframe. Our program works best for customers in low to moderate hazard occupations that typically do not exceed an AM Best hazard index of 7. The analysis of an account includes the following:

  • Type of operation
  • Prior loss experience
  • Management attitude and capability
  • On-premises hazards
  • Off-premises hazards
  • Potential for hazard modification through established loss prevention techniques

We evaluate past loss history and exposure levels to forecast expected losses. Since our products are supported by the concept of a network based managed care system, we also consider the client's willingness to participate in the implementation of a managed care model in their operations. This would include the posting of panel providers as well as the willingness to participate in a light duty return-to-work program.

We are proud of the fact that many of our customers have been with us for several years and these employers have experienced a significant reduction in workers' compensation costs. We provide a workers' compensation solution that works.
